Mommy and Cole came down to the beach to join the fun.

Jake's first sand castles!  His favorite part was smashing them.

Jake and Daddy hit the beach bright and early on the first morning in Maui.  The water and air were nice and warm.  Jake had a blast playing in the sand.

Videos on the iPad and playing with the seat belt were two things that kept Jake occupied for a good portion of the flight.

It's not a great picture, but here is the family unit making it's way through the airport ready to board a flight to Maui for a week.  Mommy has Cole strapped to her.  Daddy has a car seat strapped to his back.  And Jake is in the stroller with the other car seat and a couple carry on bags piled on.  A lot of moving parts...

Even on a coldish day, Jake is all about getting wet with the hose.  Not too much buddy, we're in a drought!

Jake being a big helper by taking the empty water bottles outside side for the man to switch them out for full ones.  Daddy brings the full ones in, but Jake always gives it a shot.

Last week Jake had the rare 3 garbage truck morning.  The yard waste truck came while he still had his green pajamas on (garbage truck pajama by the way).  Then after getting dressed, the regular truck and the recycling truck showed up on the street at the same time.  Sometime the garbage truck gods smile upon us.

More often than not, it's a wresting match to get sunscreen on Jake.  Mommy and Daddy win every time.  You'll thank us later kid!

After seeing Cole sleeping on the monitor, Jake couldn't help but give him a hug and a kiss.

Jake reeeeeally wanted to hold Cole the other day.  Mama obviously helped out.

Jake got a little construction site time with an earth mover before daycare one day last week.

This is what "applesauce" looks like behind the scenes at our house.  A little carrot puree makes it's way in there.  Jake has caught on recently and started asking for "yellow applesauce".  He's getting smarter every day.

Jake went to the 2 year old b-day party of one of Olivia, one of his pals from daycare. He had a fun time dancing and playing with the other kids.  Griffin, his running mate from daycare was also there.
